The Literacy Spot Award is sponsored by the SC Reading Recovery Advisory Council, the State Department of Education, and the University Training Center at Clemson to recognize outstanding emergent literacy programs in primary schools in SC. Congratulations to McLees faculty, staff, and students!

The Exemplary Writing Program is sponsored by the South Carolina Department of Education and governed by the Writing Improvement Coordinating Council. The award is based on an extensive evaluation of
instructional programs, with a particular emphasis on the teaching of writing.

McLees![]() Access your child's grades and attendance!
![]() (Please note that access to grades is only available for grades 2-5 at this time.) McLees Parent Portal Access to your child’s grades (grades 2-5 only) and attendance (all grades) through PowerSchool is provided to you by Anderson School District #5 as another form of communication with teachers and administrators. This process will help all of us in our efforts to support your child’s education.
In order to register, you will need to stop by the school office between 8:00 am and 3:00pm. You will need to present a photo ID, preferably a driver's license, so a copy can be made in order for you to be issued a password. Registration must be done in person. It cannot be completed by telephone or e-mail.
You may fill out the registration form ahead of time (registration forms were sent home with students). For a printable registration form, please click on the link below.
